1988 Pee-Wee Pterri the Pteradactyl Stuffed Toy in Box

From the amazing mind of Paul Reubens it’s one of the stars of the 80’s – 90’s TV show Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, it’s vintage Pterri the Pteradactyl! Pterri is 13” tall made of stuffed and sewn polyester and polyurethane. Everyone in the Playhouse agrees Pterri is the most cuddly Pteradactyl ever! Pterri is about 12” tall from eyeballs to claws, and his tail is another 7” long and his poseable wings stretch out to almost two feet across! Push the front of Pterri’s chest and his wings will flap!

The colorful box shows photos from the TV show and has a slight crease on the logo at the front of the box. Both that area and the top back of the box are arced slightly from the area where it touches the back of Pterri’s head, but it doesn’t detract from the overall amazing condtion of the box. Box size: 13 1/2“ x 15 1/2” 5 3/4“ Photos are of of actual item. Climate controlled storage and minimally handled. Sold as is. Only one available.

NOTE: This item was recently inspected, and we discovered some surface damage to the back of Pterri. (see photo). It was only visible once the figure was removed from the box, which he’d been in for over 30 years. Damage appears to be where the back of the puppet touched the box. The box does not show signs of damage.  When Pterri is re-attached to the box for display (with the original twist ties), the damage is not readily apparent, as you can see on the other photos. Additionally, one of the wing struts is broken. The wings do not flap when in the box so only upon removing was this discovered. For these reasons we’ve put Pterri at a CLOSEOUT PRICE. Still in great display condition with the original box!
