When the first Star Wars movie came out in 1977, first run theaters gave away “May the Force Be With You” pin back buttons. It may seem like an odd idea, but in 1977 free toys and prizes were included with all sorts of consumer products; inside cereal boxes, Crackerjacks, kids meal toys. So George Lucas was capitalizing a trend of the 70’s- a little treat to go with the main course. And there was no bigger main course than the original Star Wars movie. This button was given away at the Apache Theatre in Rochester Minnesota in May of 1977. Few have survived. This one looks almost new with just minor tarnish on the back. And as a free bonus, your very own Millenium Falcon Crew Member ID badge, made by an original Star Wars devotee.
Photos are of of actual items. Climate controlled storage and minimally handled. Sold as is. Only one available.
